Hello Everyone,
I thought I'd make a brief post about some recent debt payments.
We had a small balance in our old checking account that I rolled onto the Mobile Home Loan. Unfortunately it just paid for interest that had accrued, but it still counts!
We also paid off both of our credit cards (again). We had a balance on them due to a lapse in income for about a month. I didn't want to dive into my emergency fund so I just used credit to get by for a little while. I don't advise this method - nor would Dave Ramsey. Do as I say, not as I do.
So the recent payments were:
$151.58 to the mobile home loan
$994.50 to Thomas' Credit (paid off)
$352.96 to Hilary' Credit (paid off)
This added to the $12236 makes $13735.04 total (see updated thermometer)!
We've had a lot of large utility deposits and other random bills, so I won't be making any student loan payments until the end of the month. We have 4 more paychecks this month - out of which I'll make payments on the Mobile Home loan, Stupid Tax Loan (still to be explained in further detail), and student loans. I expect to be making close to $4000 more in debt payments this month, so we should see that total break $17K before the end of July.
More to come...
Thanks for following!
Grace to you,
Thomas
